Delete your Yomessenger account
In the app (fastest)
- Open Yomessenger and go to Menu.
- Tap Settings, then Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Without the app
Email [email protected] from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account” and your username. We will confirm the request and delete the account.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: name, username, photo and bio, and your email address, phone number and password.
- Your friends, uploaded contacts, status updates and reels.
- Your sign-in history, location information, notification tokens and your Apple or Google sign-in link.
What stays
- Messages you already sent stay in the other people's conversations, shown as from “Deleted Account”, as in other messaging apps. Delete messages for everyone first if you want them gone.
- Channel posts and comments stay unless you delete them before deleting your account.
- Records we must keep by law, such as coin transaction records, are kept only for as long as required.
Deleting in the app takes effect immediately. Requests sent by email are completed within 30 days.
Unused coins are lost when the account is deleted. If you use the version of Yomessenger from our website and have earnings you can withdraw, withdraw them first.
